DOOR 01 - WELCOME TO OCTOBER
On October nights,
When Autumn stirs among
The empty branches of wet trees,
When freezing fogs brood across damp streets
And midnight wanderers walk almost alone,
The veils grow thinner.
On October nights,
Then shadows stir in attics
And noises are heard where silence should reign.
If you peep through the crack in the curtains,
You may glimpse strange figures
Haunting the spaces beneath the streetlamps.
On October nights,
The season breathes out plumes of mist,
Compensating for the thin nature of reality.
The frosted moon rides the starwinds,
And dog-faced ghouls lope along pavements,
Sniffing out trails of dropped candle wax.
On October nights,
The wind chases leaves in strange twists,
Tracing the patterns of secrets best forgotten.
The sleepers stir under blankets of gravel,
And the wind carries echoes of their murmuring.
Listen closely and you may hear their stories…
