Last year I began an epic voyage exploring the mysteries of the fabled 1970s Horror Trumps cards. Earlier this year, I finally finished this brain-melting voyage tracking down the inspirations of these notoriously graphic, gory and lurid cards. Undoubtedly the greatest dissection of the infamous deck I've ever encountered.
To have all these tireless and painstaking treatises grouped together on a single page is like the most charitable of acts from a Victorian benefactor, a reservoir of knowledge for the dedicated Trumpist. What I dream of is a Transylvania Guide Book type tome of our beloved creatures, each slightly expanded upon with an accompanying page of text, the imagination would run riot, but still be intrinsically bound to the films that they were "inspired" from.
They're bound to be about out of copyright aren't they, Mr Moon?

Ah, Mr Moon lights the bat signal... St. Claire - The esteemed artist didn't give a fig about copyright at the time and lived to tell the tale. Probably. Several of the excellent late 70s early 80s books including the Travellers Guide to Transylvania also contain art lifted from films. I wonder if he/she had a hand in some of these. Possibly not but it seemed to be standard practice back then.
