  1. Interesting.

Despite being a big geeky fan of ancient Egypt, I'm not that familiar with this story. Mostly because I'm not a big fan of monster-based horror. (After all, psychological horror and supernatural thrillers are much more satisfying. Once an actual, unambiguous monster shows up to take centre stage, the story's ruined and it's all downhill from there!)

But from the podcast, this sounds like the sort of thing I would enjoy, despite being from one of the people to blame for inventing the vampire story! I'll give it a go. Thanks for the heads up.

(P.S. I fell asleep listening to the podcast at night, with the player set to loop. It gave me a weird dream where you were Batman and Odile was Sarah Jane Smith, and you were sending a robot probe into an Egyptian tomb to find out about the evil sealed within!)
